CSZ regulars’ table: networking, learning, experiencing practice
On Thursday, August 21, the first CSZ regulars’ table kicked off with an exciting topic: load transfer in Sofistik. The event was initiated by the management. Matthias Niebling, Managing Engineer, and Miriam Schuster, Project Manager Structural Design, took responsibility and organized the kick-off.
Around 20 engineers from various locations—on site in Darmstadt and online from Germany and Canada—took the opportunity to gain technical insights and network directly with each other. Matthias Niebling presented a practical concept for load transfer in Sofistik that makes everyday engineering work easier:
- Automated procedure based on FE ceiling calculations
- Transfer of loads to foundation components
- Additional benefits for wall, column, and beam design
- Verifiable documentation of results
Afterwards, the terrace of the Darmstadt office provided the perfect setting for a relaxed get-together – the ideal place to round off the evening with personal conversations and a relaxed atmosphere. But the CSZ regulars’ table is more than just professional input: it thrives on personal exchange, sharing experiences, and learning together across locations and disciplines. Following this successful start, the regulars’ table will take place regularly every 2 to 4 weeks in the future.
🤝 Special thanks go to the management, who provided cool drinks and snacks – perfect for rounding off the first evening in good company.
💡 Practical benefits: Less effort, more verifiability – exactly what engineers need in their everyday work.
