Building project

The 18 story building, from the 60s, located in the new east side of Frankfurt, was extended and rehabilitated. Two additional stories have been added on top of the existing structure.

By removing one of the shear walls and extending the stories with a 4.5 m long oriel, space for new conference rooms has been be created. The new main entrance for the building will be moved to the Hanauer Landstrasse. The modification of the entrance and of the access to the office levels require the removal of about 30 % of the original structure. The remodelling of the building includes a new façade (glass, metal and natural stone) and a state-of-the-art building installation and equipment.

Distribution lines for power, water etc. are in vertical shafts, space for the horizontal distribution will be created by extending the floor by attached elements which also carry the new façade.


Reinforced concrete skeleton structure with flat slabs, reinforced concrete shear walls and frames for wind and earthquake loading. Expansion of the floor area by means of attached precast elements.
